Stellaris contingency counter.

R5: So I notice that there are neutral and allied fleets in two Contingency occupied systems within jump drive range of my borders. Both systems are well isolated from the rest of the Contingency, with one having a planet and the other having a habitat. I check and see that there are no armies present on either, so I figure I'll help out the ...

Stellaris contingency counter. Things To Know About Stellaris contingency counter.

I did a test, Scourge broods are about 4 million now with 25x! The Contingency's defense fleets are 10 million. (Though the crisis AI seems to consider Contingency and Unbidden defense fleets as 'any old' fleet and happily moves them out of position).Starting my first new game since the combat rework, wondering if the crisis counter fleet meta has changed at all? For Unbidden and Contingency it looks like arc emitter battleships will still be viable (best?), but how about Prethoryn, who actually use missiles? AE BS with lots of PD?AI players will only declare one war at a time. AI players will only declare war when they use at least 50% of their naval capacity and have at least 6 assault armies. AI players will only attack systems if their Fleet Power is 20% stronger than that of the opponent’s. AI players will always retreat when they lost 50% of a fleet in a space ...Build time and cost was reduced using an retired fleet officer governor + full prosperity/supremacy tree + assembly yards. Every spaceport had a fleet academy. For Destroyers, Cruisers, and Battleships, the fleet always jumped to the opposite side of the system and engaged the contingency at max distance. (Sample) Ship Composition Corvettes ...Contingency ships' EHP is about 2/5 shields, 2/5 armor, and 1/5 hull. This means you either want to go full/almost full penetration or you want to use a balanced mix of kinetic and energy weapons. The advantage to going for penetrating weapons here is that penetrating weapons also do quite well against FE/AE ships, since about 20-30% of their ...

Just ALT+F4'd out of a game. Had 2 fleets of ~5000 strength mostly battleships, two types (one loaded with fighters/bombers and small defense weapons and the other loaded with large weapons. Enemy fleet was nothing but destroyers and corvettes ~3000 strength. My tech is WAY ahead of theirs in all areas (weapons, shields, energy, …This for sure, but if you leave it at the default date a decent AI-federation can take on a 10x crisis and keep it at bay apart from probably the contingency. If you play with mods this can power creep to hilarious proportions, playing with gigastructures I've seen the AI completely obliterate x25 scourge and unbidden invasions in a few years.

Cadet difficulty does effect the endgame. Higher difficulties mean harder crisis, which means the multiplier has more of an effect. My most recent game was grand admiral x25 crisis, and the contingency showed up with 10m strong fleets at every hub. I've fought the scourge at that level as well, and I could swear the vanguard swarms were at ...

Roll of the dice my friend. But the things you're doing do help.

It's still a crawl late game. I just got a Ryzen 2600x and I've noticed that Stellaris totally maxes out one of the cpu threads while only using a portion of the others. It's definitely constrained by single core speed. I have a 7 year old potato and have zero problems.

Ygolnac Dec 27, 2017 @ 6:55am. A lot of point defence, flak and ALL armor (just unequip shields) Fighters might be usefull against their bombers, but flak and PD should be enough. You should use armor piercing weapons exclusively. Their main offensive tactics involve their building and colony ships, so if they spawn in your territory put a lot ...

Could not handle the 8.8mil ones. Managed to beat the 10x crisis with 5 systems, but the difference between 10x and 25x crisis is insane. 3.When Unbidden came out I immediately ganked them with my fleets and obliterated them. Same game Contingency pops up in like 20 years and just one machine world completely wipes the floor with my (a bit adjusted to counter them) ~same fleet strength. The numbers are also much higher (25m+10m+10m vs 14m+8m for Unbidden start). And I thought Unbidden were supposed to have the stronger start and ...As for the 5x crisis strengths: Contingency: Attack fleets are usually at 440-450k~. The fleet that guards a Sterilization hub usually is at around 1.3-1.4M~. Unbidden: 1M fleet guards the portal. Initial fleets have a strength of around 450k~ though their reinforcement fleets are smaller, which are only around 290-310k.It doesnt matter because the cybrex scales with crisis difficulty as well. The cybrex spawns with 4 or 5 offensive fleets that can easily take down a sterilization hub. Unless you are using mods, the cybrex and contingency scale at the same rate. I've never seen them make a dent in the dozens of 500k fleets roaming around. The Contingency is programmed to activate in response to a civilization growing powerful enough to create a Class-30 Singularity, but when the player fights the Contingency, that's not what happens. Perhaps a Stellaris player plays Fanatic Xenophobe, tries to exterminate EVERYTHING else on the map, then the Contingency shows up and tries to do the same thing, THEN the player sets off the End Of The Cycle, their whole empire becomes the main course at the Armageddon Buffet, then The End finds itself trying to eat the Contingency, and ...Contingency uses lots of shield and armor, so penetrating weapons like the arc emitter and disruptor work best against them. You could also use battleships with large weapons to damage them from a distance. For your defenses use as many shields as you can to counter their energy weaponry. 3. While a lot of players do enjoy the "power-trip" given by the mod, a significant proportion of the Stellaris playerbase just doesn't like it when the game is made even more trivial than it already is. And I fully agree! The only way to remove a Scourge infestation is orbital bombardment, which will turn the planet into a Barren World. Bug. So as we know once the Contingency crisis has overtaken 20% of the galaxy the Cybrex will awaken with fleets for days as your saviors. They are so hell-bent on saving you that they will tie up their entire fleets bombarding Cybrex-Occupied planets to ashes, even though there are no defense armies on the world.

R5: I tested several battleship designs against the Contingency. It looks like bomber is the best weapon against them. For defense, I'm not sure. Using fewer shields to make ships cheaper is valid, but it doesn't work well with a ship that is already cheap enough. If their home planet is destroyed, all contingency ships will self-destruct. Destroy the planets by bombarding them, at 50% devastation they will go boom. There’s detailed information on the Stellaris wiki on what all of the crisis do and how to stop them, including their ship layout and how to counter them. [deleted]Hi, I'm hoping somebody could please tell me how I can reclaim a world that turned into a Sterilization Hub when the Contingency endgame popped? I have wiped out all enemy fleets in my territory and all other planets have fallen back under my control. The Prethoryn are running from the Hunters - some unnamed group with the power to blot out entire galaxies, which has sent one of the greatest threats our galaxies have ever faced, the Prethoryn, on an eternal retreat throughout the universe. Now, the contingency seeks to prevent a class-30 singularity - whatever that means. And your picks are Determined Exterminator (ungodly!) and Maintenance Protocols. Here's why: MP gives all your Nexus/Maintenance pops Unity, which helps hit those early traditions. Those traditions are force multipliers, especially the first one (Expansion) and will let you shoot ahead easily. An often recommended way to counter contingency fleets are battleships decked out with arc emitters and cloud lightning. They are more durable than corvettes, and apparently they prioritize other battleships, letting you take out the big threats at once. 4. Machine empires can block the ghost signal, but that only ceases the effects on pops. Drops it down something like 2 tiers, and machine empire pops are only affected at tier 4 and 5 strength. So they can get the same effect blowing up two hubs.
