Still cant seem to figure out where this ticking/knocking noise is coming from. Runs great all around, no performance issues, no exhaust leaks.900 problems. O.K. been riding since 1959 and have had everything going and some no longer going so I know all bikes have their own 'quirks'. I need to downsize from my C-90 at my age (knees are shot, back spasms etc). Really like the looks and feel of the 900. If engine will not start, check spark and compression. If engine has spark and compression, pour a small amount up to 1/2 ounce into the carburetor throat. So after removing the Clutch Lever switch aka the Bullshit Switch and putting a loop into the contacts she was fine. Either but a new switch or do what I did. Start motorcycle and let sit and idle. 2. Grab one of the coolant hoses and monitor its temperature. 3. When it starts to get hot, it should also get harder to squeeze. 4.
