Getrag 260 interchange and information... good info!!! looking at realoem and pelicanparts.com, it seems like the early eta's use single mass flywheels (like the 325i) but has the aluminum plate style shifter. the later eta's from 5/86 on have the dual mass flywheel but does have the later shift style shift arm.The light flywheel is not great with A/C which a must down here and I think the dual mass will make the engine feel a little smoother. The F1 clutch is also a little weak for the s52. I think your 260 bell housing is large enough for the M3 clutch why not go with that it's bound to be better as it's designed for the power. I beat the piss out of it. And it broke on the low rpm shifts (Most the the abuse was at the drag strip with slicks). I replaced it with an old Tremec 3550, rated at 350 ft lbs, and cracked the case on that. The T5 is not a slouch. And if the Getrag 260 is so much stronger, then I think the mustang guys would have started swapping it in years ago.
